Someting about Mi'ilya

The Greek Catholic village of Mi'ilya is situated in the western mountains of the beautiful Galilee at an altitude of 600 m above sea level, north of the main road no.89 and 15 km east of the city of Naharia.
The nature-protected valley Wadi el Qirn (Achziv), which is created for nature lovers, separates the village north of the Thyrus Mountains, the border mountains to Lebanon, to the north-east, the snow-capped peaks of the Hermon Mountain, bordering Syria, form a fascinating backdrop.

All this could enchant you at the morning walk, after a night in our holiday apartment in the middle of the historical part of the village, on the forecourt of Chateau de Roi - the Kingsburg.
Here archaeologists and historians, theologians and anthropologists are at their expense and perhaps you are also looking for ancestry.
Built in the 12th century by the King of Jerusalem and ruler of the Acre region and managed by the aristocratic family De Milly, the castle was sold to the German Teuton Order in 1220
.
Also an attraction nearby - the Kreuzritterburg Montfort, also known as Starkenberg or Castellum Novum Regis.

Archaeological research has resulted in the village of Mi'ilya dating back to the Stone Age - about 7500 years before Christ. Excavations and finds from the Roman and Byzantine epoch (40 BC to AD 40), the time of the crusaders and the Ottoman Empire confirm the ongoing life in this area.
Among the attractions in the center of the village are several caves that served as water crises, various tombs from Helenian, Roman and Byzantine times, the mosaic floor of a monastery, 2 antique oil presses, and several oriental farmhouses with animal shelter and fireplace.
Garden restaurants, rest stops and coffees offer local cuisine and culinary delights in a wide selection.

Do'nt miss those amazing places
